Welcome to the Georgetown / Scott County Building Department homepage. Through building code enforcement, we’re making a difference in our community. The primary purpose of this department is to ensure safe minimum levels of construction through enforcement of the Kentucky Building Code and the Kentucky Residential Code. This is closely followed by the enforcement of the Georgetown / Scott County Zoning Ordinance, which provides for orderly growth of our community.

- Enforcement of the Georgetown / Scott County Zoning Ordinance.
- Enforcement of the City of Georgetown ordinances and Scott County ordinances.

HVAC Permitting |

- Effective 01/01/2011, all HVAC initial installations will be permitted separately, including residential installs. Go to the HVAC Permitting section below for permitting requirements.
