The City of Georgetown is holding a Public Hearing concerning a proposal by the Norfolk Southern Railroad Corporation to close the Bridge on Bridge St. on Thursday, March 3, 2011, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at City Hall on 100 N. Mayor's Meals On Wheels (12:00PM - 12:00PM)
Mayor Varney is looking forward to participating in Mayors for Meals in which Kentucky’s elected officials, including many mayors, council members and commissioners are encouraged to participate in the annual Mayors for Meals/Leaders for Lunches events in March.

The national March 23 event invites elected officials to provide assistance to their local senior food service program such as Meals on Wheels ® or senior citizen center meal programs. Typically, mayors, council members and commissions go along on meal deliveries or serve meals for the day.
